The Cocoon can be used for weight management, a personal relaxation system or as a heated sauna wellness exercise fitness POD. If a user has any existing health conditions or is in poor heath, they should speak with their doctor before using the Cocoon POD and any questions should be directed to a medical professional. The Cocoon is not a medical system, it makes no medical claims and does not treat any medical conditions. Cocoon Fitness POD is a general wellness, fitness and relaxation system.
The Cocoon Fitness POD System has a weight limit of 350 lbs. Women who are pregnant and persons who are in poor health or have cardio health or other problems or are sensitive to heat (i.e. conditions such as erythema ab igne) or are dehydrated should not use the Cocoon Fitness POD System until they consult with their doctor.
All users should be hydrated and drink plenty of water before and after use.
There are no replacement parts required for the ongoing use of the Cocoon PODs. Unlike tanning beds (where you have to replace bulbs) or water massage beds (where you have to constantly change the water), the Cocoon Fitness POD requires no routine maintenance except for daily and weekly cleaning.
It is recommended that a clean towel (bath or beach-towel size) or disposable towel be used and laid on and a 2nd towel over the body when using the Cocoon Fitness POD System. This helps maintain a more hygienic environment users can use and wear typical comfortable work-out exercise clothes. Users should be instructed to self-clean and wipe down the Cocoon Fitness POD at the end of each session (i.e. appropriate cleaner and paper towels should be provided to users, who should be cautioned to refrain from spraying the cleaner directly on the unit heaters near the foot area).
A Spa will generally have showers for their clients but in smaller premises that may not always be practical. Many of the businesses which are using Cocoon PODs do not offer showers on site. Clients generally choose to use the Cocoon Fitness POD after a workout, weight management, or a wellness exercise session service and prefer to simply towel dry and wear sweat clothes after their sessions before returning home to shower. Many businesses also offer clean towels for clients to wipe down, and some even offer a spray bottle with citrus scent or tea tree oil to enhance their wipe downs.
Salon space can be a concern, but your wellness pod will fit in a small room, or cubicle, as little as 6 feet wide and 9 feet long. That space and a plug socket is all you need to use the Cocoon POD.
A Fitness Pod session generally ranges from 15 to 30 minutes (and up to 45 & 60 minutes) depending on the business model and weight management or fitness & wellness goals of the user. Users may exit the Cocoon POD at any time prior to the expiration of their session. At many locations, Cocoon sessions are activated from the front desk. The Cocoon POD System will automatically shut off at the conclusion of each session.
With the Cocoon POD almost all features can be turned on-off and used separately or in personal, customised combinations together. By example, you can use the active-exercise system with or without the heat sources.
